The Dumb and Dumber of American politics (and thats saying something) met for a power pizza summit last night and instead of picking a quiet and secluded restaurant, Trump and Palin chose a pizzeria in the centre of New York’s Times Square for maximum publicity.
Please .. Please .. PLEASE .. can this pair run together in the 2012 campaign ? Trump for President and Palin for VP. Or the other way around. I don’t care. Either would work just as well. Think of the fun and amusement we could have.
I mean, we all know that American politics is a corrupt sham with two fundamentally similar right-of-center ‘parties’ both actually serving the same corporate agenda. We know that all the partisan heat and ‘conflict’ is just a carnival sideshow to create an illusion of democracy. Right ? We know that.
So how better to celebrate the tawdry, sleazy, dumbed-down vapidity of the whole phoney thing than by having these two running for President and Vice-President. Since we know that voting makes no difference to what actually happens, lets sit back with a jumbo box of popcorn and just enjoy the entertainment.

“Gilbert’s recent comments about the crisis in Japan were lacking in humor and certainly do not represent the thoughts and feelings of anyone at Aflac,” the company said in an official statement. “Aflac will immediately set plans in motion to conduct a nationwide casting call to find a new voice of the iconic Aflac Duck.”

I’m not sure how much of it is stupidity and how much of it is just a lack of empathy or sensitivity. I have a theory that may apply here, if I may be so bold.
I was just talking to my son about how the majority of people seem to forget (or not care) that their actions affect other people. I’m sure many of these people are perfectly intelligent in conversation, but you release them into the wild and they appear stupid because their actions make no sense to people who do have common courtesy.
