Problems are only acknowledged if Stewart or Colbert are talking about them? They are comedy shows, foremost. It’s not their job to do anything else.

Is that what I said? I don’t remember saying that Stewart and Colbert validate anything for me, nor did I imply that they are the authority on what constitutes a “problem”.

That being said, they are comedy shows, yes. But they also happen to be comedy shows that discuss current events, and tend to call out people for hypocrisy, racism, sexism, etc. Please do not try to use this “they’re only comedy shows” horseshit on me when they’ve both been very active voices in the news and politics spheres for years now. Colbert SuperPAC? The Rally to Restore Sanity? Colbert testifying in front of congress? Yeah, they’re just like Tosh.0.

I’m really not too sure what it is you’re trying to say, frankly. If you follow this blog at all, you know I’ve been talking about this all week. If you don’t think this issue is serious enough to need national coverage, then maybe you should go follow another blog.
